Kelly Towle was born and lives in Birmingham. She is currently studying a BA Fine Art Degree at Birmingham City University. The biggest part of her practice begins with the interest and interaction in her local community and the development of her sculptural language. Her current work involves bringing art from the gallery into the public domain, with the intention of helping create a ‘voice for the people’. Her work aims to engage with and evoke creative atmospheres for community collaboration and establishes intricate narratives, developed through communal interrelations through the development of sculptural & installation art. The work is then exhibited within and for those respective communities.
